Enigma Therapeutics LLC was established to operate within this reality.
Rather than functioning as a traditional contract research organization with a single internal laboratory, Enigma operates as a distributed drug discovery platform, coordinating a global scientific network of specialized research groups across multiple locations.
This model allows us to assemble the right expertise for a particular scientific problem while maintaining flexibility and efficiency for our collaborators.
Through our broader scientific network, we work with trusted partners capable of supporting different aspects of drug discovery, including synthetic chemistry, analytical characterization, biological testing, and early development activities.
In practice, this means that research programs can be supported by a coordinated group of specialists rather than a single organization attempting to do everything internally.
Our role is to bring these capabilities together, guide the scientific strategy, and ensure that complex research projects move forward efficiently.

THERAPEUTICS
The branch of medicine concerned with the treatment of disease and the action of remedial agents for the purpose of both preventing and combating disease or for alleviating pain and injury. A treatment, therapy or drug.
But the definition that resonates with us the most is the derivation from the Greek word ‘Therapeutikos’ which means ‘inclined to serve’.
That’s what we aim to do.

OUR STORY
The development of Enigma Therapeutics LLC has been gradual rather than immediate. The organization has taken shape through work and collaboration across Europe, the United States, and Asia. This process involved identifying trusted scientific partners, understanding the strengths of different research environments, and developing a structure that allows complex chemistry programs to be executed efficiently across multiple locations.
While the United States remains a central hub for biotechnology and pharmaceutical innovation, and continues to be home to many of our collaborators and clients, it is not always the most practical location for every stage of laboratory work.
For this reason, we made the decision to establish a complementary operating presence in India.
India has become an increasingly important centre for chemical research and manufacturing. A large scientific workforce, combined with a mature chemical industry and accessible research infrastructure, makes it well suited for synthetic chemistry and related development work.
By combining scientific coordination in the United States with operational capabilities in India and China, Enigma Therapeutics LLC is able to support research programs efficiently while maintaining close interaction with collaborators in North America and Europe.
Today, our work involves clients and partners across several regions, with the majority of current collaborations based in the United States and additional projects involving organizations in Europe and Asia.
The company continues to grow through new partnerships and scientific collaborations, with the goal of building a flexible platform capable of supporting increasingly complex research programs.

Presently, we employ chemistry in conducting drug discovery programs, custom synthesis, small-scale API manufacturing, peptides, and innovative supplements.
The establishment of our Indian subsidiary is underway, featuring synthetic chemistry labs and a well-equipped analytical and purification suite. Future plans involve expanding to include process chemistry and kilo lab facilities for larger-scale manufacturing and pilot projects. We aspire to integrate a small GMP manufacturing facility eventually.
